CSA Basket
I absolutely love our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) baskets we get each week. Buying locally means fresher produce, supporting the local economy, and helping the environment. It may even save you money. To me, there's no comparison in freshness (and, therefore, taste and nutrition) between local foods and trucked-in commodities. We found Sugarfoot Organic Farms through http://www.localharvest.org/csa/. This week's basket includes green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, eggplant, purple potatoes, okra, and squash. Fruit share was peaches. I also grabbed 2 onions while at the market. Total cost: $42.95.
