Costco Trip: Produce, Meat, & Coconut Oil!

My local Costco has started carrying coconut oil! It's unrefined, virgin, and organic, and it tastes exactly the same as what we've been getting from Vitacost. It's less expensive, too!

Since it's apple season, I've been finding them at good prices, and they taste sooo good! On this trip, I found organic Galas for $1.82/lb. At Kroger, I found organic Fujis for $1.16/lb. I bought both. We love them plain or added to fruit salad, and I'm hoping we'll have enough to make applesauce, apple crisp, and maybe store some before the season is over.

When shopping, I try to make sure I have all the essentials: meat/protein, veggies, and fat.

Here's the breakdown for this trip:

Chicken Wings 10 lb $22.99
Avocados 3 lb $4.79
Bananas approx 3 lb $1.39
Organic Gala Apples 5.5 lb $9.99
Carrots 10 lb $6.59
Organic Whole Chickens @ 2.49/lb $24.10
Bacon @ 2.99/lb $23.98
Carrington Farms Unrefined Coconut Oil $15.99
Brussels Sprouts 2 lb $3.99
Strawberries 2 lb $5.99
Total: $121.00
