Last Night's Supper
Most of our meals are fairly simple, cook a meat and use whatever veggies we have on hand. This is Sweet Italian Sausage from Costco. It is a processed meat, so I'd say this goes in our 20% section, 80% being our goal of "ideal" foods. We can't afford to buy all our meats pastured, so we fill in with a few things from the grocery store, still trying to be as clean as we can. We eat sausage less than once a week, and in moderation, I think that's fine. This is a pretty decent sausage though: it has no MSG, no corn syrups, and only 2g sugar. Wrapped the sausage in 2 pieces of organic lettuce, and served with mustard. The beet chips are organic and fried in coconut oil; sprinkled with a little salt.
