Today's CSA basket from Sugarfoot Organic Farms includes: eggplants, cucumbers, squashes, tomatoes, peppers, green beans, okra, and potatoes. Fruit share is blueberries. I feel very fortunate to have a local and organic farmer who works so hard to grow this stuff. It's super fresh and delicious. It really does taste so much better than conventional produce. We enjoy a good bit more of our produce raw since it does have so much flavor. We always sample a few things straight from the basket, the girls sneaking things before I get a chance to wash them, and it's nice to not have to worry about whatever chemicals they might be eating. I always look forward to these baskets! I think it's important to buy as much as we can locally, both to enjoy healthier foods and to support our local farmers. This basket makes up most of our produce for the week. Our shares come out to $41.95 per week.
