Costco Shopping: Sardine Stock-up!

I was THRILLED to find our favorite canned fish on sale at Costco yesterday! Eating cleanly IS more expensive, so I try to buy what I can on sale to help us save. At 25% off, I bought 5 packs of sardines, saving us $10 on 25 cans! These are packed in pure olive oil, salt, and water. This helps us get in our 2-3 servings of fish each week. I spent more than usual on this trip to stock up on the sale items...sardines, coffee, and vitamins. The price of my usual bacon has gone up to $3.24 per pound. I found Hatfield bacon for $2.99/lb, so we're gonna give that a shot. While I love pastured pork, it is hard to come by. Ovis Hill usually has limited amounts of pork, and sometimes none at all. I did place a large order from US Wellness meats back in July, and I have about 3 lbs of that left. We'll probably be placing another order with them in the near future if I can't find more locally. So, for now, we just eat regular bacon, and occasionally, regular sausage to help fill in. These sausages are made with pork, water, salt, dextrose, spices, flavorings, and paprika. They have 2g sugar per link, not too bad. While our Costco does not sell any free range or grass-fed meats, I think the meats are still a pretty good quality and a good alternative. We just do the best we can with what is available!
